Why choose Laura for your Whistler and Pemberton Realtor?Laura in the snow

A full time resident since 1985.

Laura knows and loves Whistler and Pemberton! Laura and Chris moved from Vancouver to spend the winter of 1985 in Whistler. After one winter and the following summer, they knew they were hooked and they called Whistler home.

In 1987 Laura was hired by Blackcomb Mountain, responsible for tracking the expenses of the largest on hill expansion to date, reporting to the President, Hugh Smythe, the Vice-President of Finance and the Vice-President of Operations.

Blackcomb Mountain had just been purchased by Intrawest and Intrawest was ready to convert this sleeping giant into a world class resort. Blackcomb Mountain’s expansion in 1987 included the addition of three high speed lifts... the Wizard, Solar Coaster, Seventh Heaven, the Horstman T-Bar, building the Horstman Hut, the Day Lodge and Kids Kamp building and the expansion of the Rendevous Lodge.

This was an exciting position and an amazing opportunity to be a part of Whistler's history.

A top producing, full time realtor since 1990.

Laura joined Chris as a full time realtor and has enjoyed success in residential sales and project marketing. Laura places her client's interest first. Her strong ethics, organization skills, creative marketing approach and attention to detail are qualities that her clients truly appreicate. Her priorities are simple; to find the right property for her Buyer and to find the right purchaser for her Seller. Laura is proud that many of her clients still own the same property that they purchased from her 20 or 25 years ago!

In 2002 Laura returned to UBC's real estate division expanding her knowledge of real estate appraisal and worked as a licensed appraiser until 2007. This helped hone her skills in pricing accurately, tax assessment and understanding financing nuances.

Laura realized that helping her clients buy and sell real estate was what she loved best and returned to sales in 2007. Laura and Chris' clients benefit from their dynamic team approach.

FamilyThe Wetaski family.

In 1994 Laura and Chris welcomed Nickolas into their family, then in 1998 little brother Charles was born.  Nickolas graduated with a degree in Environmental Engineering from UBC and Charles studies Mechanical Engineering at McGill University in Montreal.  Whistler has been good to these boys!

Laura is a passionate athlete.  She is a strong tennis and volleyball player, but her favourite sport is keeping up to these boys... whether it's on a fresh powder day, or cheering for them on the soccer field.  Laura now enjoys riding her horse Gus in Pemberton.

A strong community member.

Laura is well respected and actively engaged in the community. Laura has been president of Whistler Minor baseball, a director of Whistler Youth soccer and for six years coached the Whistler Secondary girls volleyball team. Laura was also Co-Chair of the Whistler High School Parent Advisory Council for many years.
